WHO WE ARE
125 Years of Storage and Transportation Experience
WHERE IT ALL STARTED 1897
CTW Origins:
1897 - Founded in Kansas City as the “Only Way Transfer & Warehouse Company” featuring a horse, a wagon, and a small brick warehouse.
1948 - Kansas City businessman Robert Winsky founded Consolidated Transfer & Warehouse Co., later shortened to simply “CTW”.
1959 - Winksy acquired the Only Way Transfer & Warehousing Company and later merged it with CTW.
1965 - Winsky acquired land from Burlington Northern Railroad and built a 150,000-square-foot warehouse on Taney Street in North Kansas City, Missouri. This facility serves as CTW’s national headquarters to this day.
2015 - Winsky passes, and his obituary notes that “he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and CTW family who will carry his legacy far into the future.”
2021 - Texas-based real estate investment firm BridgeCap Partners acquires the warehouse on Taney Street and partners with Nick Nelson to own and manage CTW going forward.
2022 - CTW acquires the California operations of Naumes, Inc. and adds a cold-storage facility in Olivehurst, California, north of Sacramento.
